In order to have sync to the central maven repo : Is-it possible to remove snapshots from your repo ?
Have a look at http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MAVENUPLOAD-1609.
Or change the groupId to com.opensymphony as described here : https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/maven/archiva/trunk/maven-meeper/src/bin/synchronize/m2-sync/conf/com.opensymphony.sh

All snapshots were removed from the repo.
We need to use the opensymphony groupId for legacy reasons, but we can change it for future releases as suggested by Carlos Sanchez in above mentioned issue.

I changed the groupId to com.opensymphony.xwork.
We might need to change the m2-sync script to reflect these changes.

The group id is com.opensymphony as set in the sync script as of rev1570, closing the issue now
