I've put together a simple changelog for the release bundle. JIRA is great but I just think a simple summary of major bug fixes and new features would be an easy way for people to see the changes.

Attached is an example - I'll check this in and integrate it to the release if no one objects.

Could we build it from the changelog from Jira during the build?

It could but I don't think it really should. I was thinking that the changelog should be a higher level overview of what changed. Reason is some of the issues in Jira tend to be trivial and others are important fixes that might need to be specially noted.

This is more manual work but it'd be something I'd be happy to be tasked with for each release.
