Support for a new attribute for the ww:textfield tag to disable autocomplete

Created: 26/Dec/06 05:32 AM   Updated: 06/Feb/07 10:46 PM
Component/s: Views
Affects Version/s: 2.2.4
Fix Version/s: 2.2.5

 Description  « Hide
We need a uniform way of disabling browser autocomplete for HTML <input type="text" ../> elements. The ww:textfield tag could be enhanced to support an additional attribute for e.g., ( disableBrowserAutocomplete ) which could be a run time expression and by default evaluates to true.

The attribute value need not be a runtime expression.

Since this functionality can easily be added by creating a new UI template, I don't think we should implement this for WW 2.2.x. The risk of changing the API this much for a bugfix release to great and this really should be something that goes into struts 2.

Since no one spoke up, I'm closing this as 'Won't Fix' for 2.2.5.
