This is a tricky one .. we also need to support xhtml - where I assume not closing a link tag would result in a similar error. If it's a real problem, override the head template (see the wiki/docs on how to do that - it's very simple), or just drop the tag, and place the html directly in your page instead of the tag.
You ar correct, xhtml would complain about missing end :)
I will fix my problem by updating the head template. or maybe change doctype, but then I will get other complaints i suppose. I do not know if this is to ask to much, but maybe one would wan't to be able to define in some configuration file if one would like to generate html or xhtml. What is the status of xhtml, do browser support it? Adding support for HTML 4.0 would be simple (just add a 'html' theme), but I suspect most people try to use xhtml nowadays, so interest for it will be quite low.
xhtml: afaik, all modern browsers support it without problems. CSS otoh .. A html theme I suppose is the way to do it. Thank you for you're prompt answer.
I was looking for where to close this bug, but can't seem to find it | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
