the problem is with tooltip attribute in <ww:textfield>,it does not work as the form with ajax theme.The tooltip text is put up beneath the form.and a new error message is added up after every onblur event and the previous message are not cleared.so an array of similar messages will show up.

when tooltip attribute is deleted from ww:textfield tag,everything works well.

Fixed in SVN for the tooltip issue.

For the remove validation: it works fine here. If this would still be an issue after 2.2.5, please reopen this issue.
